Varvogli, Elisavet

Elisavet Varvogli, M.A., Ph.D., is a psychologist and psychotherapist in private practice and adjunct professor in the School of Medicine at Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the post-graduate interdisciplinary program “Stress Management and Health Promotion.” She is on the publishing board and faculty of the UNESCO section of Adolescent Health and Medicine. Before that she was adjunct faculty at Northeastern University, Boston MA where she taught master’s level psychology courses. She is a licensed psychologist in Boston MA and Greece. Dr. Varvogli is certified in and has extensive clinical experience in CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, IFS, Motivational Interviewing, Coaching, and IQ and personality testing, and supervising students. Dr. Varvogli has earned her MA at Tufts University, her Ph.D. at Northeastern University and has completed her post-doctoral training at Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where she worked for 10 years as a psychologist. Dr. Varvogli has over 80 scientific publications in international refereed journals and over 40 published books in Greek and English about self-development.

Vasilieiadou, Iris

Iris Vasileiadou is a PhD candidate in Language and Communication at Hellenic American University, where she also earned her MA in Applied Linguistics magna cum laude. Her research interests include intercultural communication and political and media discourse, as well as gender in communities of practice. Iris has worked as an EFL/ESL teacher in Greece and the U.K. at various language schools and since 2014, she has been working at Hellenic American Union as an EFL instructor in its English Language Program. She is a certified Cambridge and Michigan examiner for B2 and C2 CEFR levels. Iris has been involved in various projects for the Center for Applied Linguistics and Language Studies, such as material development for writing/speaking seminars for ESL learners, special courses on extensive reading for ESL learners, and teacher training seminars of how to use different technological tools. She has also developed testing items for the STYLE exam, and has trained oral and written examiners for Hellenic American University’s STYLE and ABLE exams. She is currently an adjunct faculty member teaching in the M.A. in Applied Linguistics program.

Xoulogis, George

George Xoulogis is an award-winning composer who has scored and orchestrated over 40 films, including two which premiered at the Festival de Cannes in 2013 and 2014. He has also composed the music for an American RPG Video Game, the TV Show Short Cuts for Channel 13 in Australia and numerous other TV and branding projects for worldwide known brands such as TEDx, Amazon, Vimeo, Samsung and illy Coffee. In 2014 he was nominated for "Best European Soundtrack" in Cologne, Germany. George has a Master’s in Film Music Composition from the Danish National Academy of Music and a Bachelor and MA in Musicology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as Diplomas of Harmony, Counterpoint, Byzantine Music, Fugue and Orchestration. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Music at the National Kapodestrian University of Athens (2019). He is the founder and CEO of Scapetunes Ltd, a Music Production Company in London, UK, and currently teaches History of Music at the European University of Cyprus (Nicosia) while working as a Counselor in the Interconnection Office of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens with the European Union. Mr. Xoulogis is an adjunct faculty member at Hellenic American University, where he teaches in BM program.

Zimianitou, Jenny

Jenny Zimianitou holds a Diploma in Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language from Saint Michael's College, Vermont, USA, and a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Hellenic American University, New Hampshire, USA. She has been involved in English language teaching for over 15 years both as a teacher and teacher educator. She has been involved in writing and editing projects and has given presentations and written articles on issues related to English language teaching. Ms. Zimianitou has also attended a number of seminars and conferences in Greece and abroad and has served on the TESOL Greece Board as vice chairperson.
