The Bachelor of Music program offers a balanced mix of professional music training and instruction in theory and composition. Developed in accordance with guidelines of the National Association of Schools of Music in the United States, the program was directed by an internationally acclaimed composer and conductor, Theodore Antoniou.

About the Program
The Bachelor of Music program has a two-fold focus on performance – in both classical and jazz music - and theory and composition. Students receive comprehensive training to achieve a level of performance expected of professional musicians.

Degree Requirements
Successful completion of the Bachelor of Music program will require the completion of a total of 121 credits. This includes 40 credits in General Education requirements and either the Music Curriculum (42 credits in music core courses, 27–30 credits in a music concentration, and 9–12 credits in music electives), or the Modern Music Curriculum (52 credits in major core courses and 29 credits in a music concentration). Full-time students typically complete the program within eight semesters. Part-time students generally require six to eight years, depending on their course load per semester. Professional Development
The program provides a well-rounded education in which students not only develop professional and artistic skills, but also develop character, intellectual breadth, social skills and self-confidence. When completing the program students will have acquired the credentials needed to build a career in the fields of music composition, performance, and music education.
Student Performances
The Bachelor of Music program offers students opportunities to participate in ongoing faculty-student performances or compositional projects. Students may complete their senior-year giving a recital of their own either as a performer or as a composer.
