Karolos Spyrou holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia and an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He is currently a PhD candidate in Environmental and Behavioral Finance at the University of the Peloponnese, where his research focuses on ESG factors, financial market dynamics, and portfolio analysis. He has also completed professional certifications from Harvard University in Using Python for Research, the New York Institute of Finance in Electronic Trading in Financial Markets, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Macroeconomics of Climate: Economics of Adaptation, and the University of Piraeus in Digital Marketing. Karolos has more than seven years of professional experience in finance, business consulting, and higher education. His professional background includes positions as a Business Analyst at Octane Management Consultants and in bank reconciliation at Eurobank. He currently works as an independent Business Development Consultant, advising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on financial diagnostics, sales analytics, and investment funding opportunities, including ESPA, DYPA, and European Union investment programs. In academia, he has served as an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Analysis and Econometrics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Business Department of Hellenic American University.
