Marinou, Chrysi

Chrysi Marinou earned an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature, a master’s degree in Civilization, Literature and Ideology, and a Ph.D. in Civilization, Literature, and Ideology, all from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is now conducting postdoctoral research for two projects funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation and serves as a peer reviewer for the journal Lost Modernists. She has published her research in periodicals such as Literary Geographies, the Journal of Comparative Literary Studies, Pilgrimages: a Journal of Dorothy Richardson Studies (2015), and Mnimon: Society for the Study of Modern Hellenism. She has contributed essays to the Palgrave Encyclopedia of Urban Literary Studies and other collective works. Her research interests include comparative literature, modernity, modernism, and literary theory.

Chrysi Marinou is an adjunct instructor at Hellenic American University and teaches in the BAELL program.

 

Bell, Cameron

Cameron Bell is the Director of Civic Engagement at Hellenic American University. He is also an independent risk consultant and research fellow at the Institute for International Relations (IDIS), Athens, Greece. He teaches university courses on the contemporary politics of the Eastern Mediterranean, political risk management (ESG) and corporate disinformation. From 2018 - 2020, Cameron was associate director at Veracity, a risk advisory firm, where he provided private equity clients with transaction due diligence in the EMEA region. Prior to Veracity, Cameron was a visiting fellow at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani, where he conducted field research on energy infrastructure and subsequently presented his work in Iraq, Israel, and Egypt. Previously, Cameron was associate at Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC Group) and focused on project delivery and digital transformation. From 2009 - 2011, Cameron worked at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, for former Secretary of State Dr. Rice, as aide and lead researcher on international politics and security, in the service of two books. Cameron holds a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University, a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford (Balliol College), and a Bachelor of Arts with honors, also from Stanford University. He teaches in the Social Sciences and Business programs at Hellenic American University and is a doctoral candidate at Panteion University in the Department of International, European, and Area Studies. In Athens, Cameron supports several civil-society and non-profit organizations in capacity-building efforts and is active in developing international educational partnerships.

Hoffnagle, Kim

A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA, Printmaking), Kim has lived in Athens since 2002, working as an art director, illustrator, and graphic designer. In addition to being an avid student of history and an often-disturbed reader of politics, he also writes his own music. He now teaches in the arts program as an adjunct faculty member at Hellenic American College.

Theodorou, Stephanie

Stephanie Theodorou is a graduate of Georgetown University (BA) in Washington, D.C. and Temple University (PhD) in Philadelphia, PA. Her teaching and research specialties include Western Continental and Asian Philosophy, World Religions, Philosophical Hermeneutics, Epistemology, and Naturalism. She has taught a wide variety of courses, including interdisciplinary ones, in higher education for over 20 years and served as Director of the Honors Program at Immaculata University. Her published research includes studies on the role of metaphor and symbolism in cognition and consciousness in comparative (East/West) thought, as well as animal cognition and philosophical naturalism. Dr. Theodorou is an adjunct instructor who teaches in the General Education program.

Anagnostopoulou, Tatiana

Tatiana Anagnostopoulou has been working as a freelance interpreter and translator since 1994. Having discovered the beauty of languages and communication at an early age, she attended several intensive courses in interpreting abroad. After obtaining her degree in French Language and Literature from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she attended a 600-hour course in interpreting, under the auspices of the EU. Since then, she has accumulated more than 27 years of interpreting experience at conferences, congresses, meetings, and events, providing simultaneous, consecutive, and other forms of interpretation. She has specialized in medical, financial, and legal terminology and her working languages are Greek, English, French and Spanish. Tatiana is an adjunct faculty member teaching in the MACI program.
