Ioannis Chalikias is Emeritus Professor of Quantitative Analysis at the Department of Marketing and Communication of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He has been educated at Athens University of Economics and Business, London School of Economics and Warwick University, where he received a B.Sc. in Economics, a M.Sc. in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Applied Econometrics, respectively. He has held visiting appointments at the University of Surrey (Surrey European Management School) and the University of Strathclyde (Strathclyde Graduate Business School). His main research interests are in the areas of Quantitative Analysis and its use in Export Modelling and Export Performance of Greek Firms, and his work has appeared in journals such as the International Review of Economics and Business, Journal of Global Marketing, Journal of Applied Business Research, The Journal of Product & Brand Management, and others. He has extensive consulting experience and has acted as Project Management Consultant in two Regional Operational Programs of Greece, Chairman of MODA CHROMA SA, Consultant for PROPINDEX SA, Vice Chairman at State Deposits and Loans Fund, Member of the Management Board at Hellenic Post Bank, Vice Rector of Economic Affairs at AUEB and Member of the Good Practice Advisory Committee for the Hellenic Statistical System. Currently, Professor Chalikias is Senior Research Officer at the Export Research Centre of the Pan- Hellenic Exporters Association and Vice Chairman at the Company for Management and Development of AUEB Property SA, and currently, he serves as the Director of Business Programs at Hellenic American University.
Zacharopoulou Aikaterini holds a B.A. in Economics and MSc in Finance from the American College of Greece. She is a certified analyst by the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission and a member of the multi-awarded Research division of a leading Brokerage and Investment Firm in Greece, which has ranked No 1 in the “Greece: Country Research” category of the prestigious Extel Surveys (2012-2016). She has 12 years of experience working as an Equity Analyst specializing in Greek energy, metals, and industrial and construction stocks. Currently exploring options for pursuing and obtaining a Ph.D., her research interests include Value Investing, Behavioral Finance, and Normative Business Ethics. She is an adjunct faculty member and teaches in the BSBA program.
Konstantinos Kalligiannis received his Ph.D. in Airline Marketing from Cranfield University, UK. He also holds a M.Sc. in Airport Planning and Management from Loughborough University, a MSc in Air Transport from Cranfield University and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Luton. Prior to joining Hellenic American University, he was a Visiting Professor for International Marketing at the School of Aviation Sciences at Daniel Webster College, Nashua, New Hampshire in the U.S. Dr. Kalligiannis is also an aviation consultant and has played a key role in major and challenging projects of the global aviation industry, such as the Master Plan Development for the New Lisbon Airport; the Privatisation of the Portuguese airports; the Certification and Operational Readiness and Transfer for the New Larnaka Airport; the Capacity Assessment for the New Delhi Airport and other projects for major international airports (e.g. Athens International Airport, Johannesburg, etc). He is also the author of several journal articles in Marketing and Aviation.
His research interests include Branding, Marketing, Strategy Development, International Business, Aviation Management, Airports.
Persefoni Georgakopoulou joined the faculty of Hellenic American University in 2017. She is currently an adjunct faculty member for the Business Program and teaches Project Management. She has a long career in project management, having worked globally from Greece to Panama and from the UK to Chile and now the USA as a Contract Manager at an International renewable energy company in Boston. She holds a BEng Honors in Civil Engineering from the University of Leeds and a MSc in Structural Engineering from the Heriot- Watt University. Ms. Georgakopoulou is licensed by the Technical Chamber of Greece and has a Diploma from the National University of Athens in Communication and Marketing, and a certificate from Columbia University on Sustainability Development.
Vlavianos Arvanitis Agni, a biologist by training, is President and Founder of the Biopolitics International Organisation. She taught biology, biochemistry and human genetics at the Friends Seminary in New York, at the American Community Schools Academy in Athens and at the University of Maryland, and was Visiting Professor of Bioethics at Panteion University Athens. Her professional experience also includes the organization of numerous international conferences, and the publication of over forty volumes of proceedings, hundreds of articles and monographs, and a plethora of textbooks and educational materials. She has received significant distinctions and awards for her scientific work and her service to the international community, and has also been nominated several times for the Nobel Peace Prize. At Hellenic American College Dr. Vlavianou teaches for the Business Department.
